Ken and Margaret have enjoyed your company over the many years we have been organizing an event at Blaxhall, and shall be spending the Mayday Bank Holiday 2010 at Pinewood Settlement, Smallwood Green (about 6 miles southeast of Bury-St-Edmunds Suffolk) several members from other sections joined us there last year (2009).
It is still a simple site but quite large, with adequate toilets etc but no electric hook-up. The limit of 5 vans can be overcome by them calling it a rally (they are permitted two a year ) Excellent cycling area, we have put it on our Suffolk runs list for 2010.
There will be no hall or any organised activities, but if any of our many cycling friends care to join us there they are most welcome but must make their own arrangements direct with the site and mention that they belong to the Tandem Club.
(Note, it is also possible to extend your visit either side of the holiday period if you wish)
Also Note. The site entrance can be difficult find from the road, I recommend that you watch out for signs indicating "BROOKFIELD CATTERY" and "MARTINS NURSERY", as they share the same Driveway as the campsite.
